okay, i played a few hours and here is everything i noticed that probably need change so far...

i know its probably subject to change but how the hell is cutting wood the most rewarding activity at low level? would'nt it be more apealing to new players to make battles the most rewarding gameplay??

also what with the trade license...its just...why? what is the point? now you cant sell anything valuable before having like 30 of them otherwise it just doesnt profit at all, how does it add to the trade gameplay? how does it benefit to the economy? some aspect of the market just seems randomly thought out (not to offense anybody),

the way you have to actually walk to troops to hire them is too long and often you find yourself waiting for them to respawn and not playing instead.

i played in a group of three, and we couldnt tell what units were mine or theirs, banner editor is there for a reason, no need to make it cost thousends, we see everybody with the same starter banner for a reason and it just makes group battle at early levels more complex than it should be.

to be perfectly clear, bannerlord online is really something that can become the next big thing in the medieval sim community but not if its made in a way that you start to get fun only after 40 hours of grind to overcome the simplest things you should be able to do from the start.

Hello there.

Thanks for your feedback. Here's come commenting on it.

Wood cutting: This is a player driven job. It pays as well as a player is willing to pay for the wood. Therefor, the prices are always dynamic and it's a great job for starting players. Once you've established some money, troops and gear, it's more profitable to start hunting Forest bandits or lateron the Frostlands.

Trade License: Regular gear can be sold to the Artisan and the Artisan even has repeatable quests for it, so junk gear should go there. If you do find yourself having something of worth, or frequently find yourself having good stuff to sell, then a trade license finally becomes a valid option. That aside, the economy is pretty messed up because there's no money sink holes and bandits are money printers. The upcoming Economy update should be a good step in the right direction there.

Recruiting Troops: Troops standing in a town makes the town seem more lively. It would be a lag nightmare to instead do that with civilians walking around. However, it's also seen as a more immersive and positive experience by some. So that's just personal preference. As for having to wait for troops, that would be no different if they were recruited from a menu like in SP. If many recruit in the same place, you're bound to find recruits scarse.

Banners: Agreed that it can be tricky to find your own troops, but when I'm in battle, I don't particularly look around to see which are mine anyway. Selecting your formations still highlights them if you're really curious. As for banners, those are reserved for clans, like in single player. Though if you'd all be in the same clan, which would be preferable with friends, you'd still run into the same situation.

I'm not a developers, so my comments are no more valuable then yours. But perhaps the information can be of use to you either way.

I can understand op's frustration, but you have to remember that this is not single player!

I've been here for a few weeks, and have learned that this community is both exceedingly generous and exceedingly toxic, both to the extreme.

That being said, clan creation is almost the way to go for playing with friends, the clan banner will help you differentiate from the independent players.

Clan creation comes with the boon of more troop capacity, movement speed and encumbrance (I think) but comes with the cost of exposure to the toxic clans who will declare war on you as soon as they see you for no more reason than to have the opportunity to Rambo you and your low level friends to death.

Sadly this happens more often than not, however the flip side to that is there is a large player base (clans) that are willing to ally with you for strength in numbers to Rambo the enemy back!

Now, with all that said, don't start a clan first thing, as you will simply paint a target on your back while you tackle the massive grind that this mod presents.

I promise you this, before you are able to to achieve a sufficient level to achieve even a hope of being able to compete in pvp (beware the super mega turbo horses!) you will need to gain yourself quite a few levels and very high level gear.

Regarding trade, it's very sad that the ONLY market of note is based in zeonica (one single city on a huge map, sad) but it does seem that other players are (trying) setting up alternative markets in different cities, but this is rare and you will have to try and find them yourself.

Go chop logs for 10 to 15 minutes, gets yourself 20k, go to zeo and buy the cheap trade license and the cheap warehouse and start hittng sea raiders. Sell the better loot you get in zeo for affordable prices, and watch the money roll in. Rinse and repeat and expand into other ventures as your profits grow.

I recommend training and selling vlandian sharpshooters to other players. Sell them between 4 and 4.5k ea for an alternative profit method.

Banners? Get used to it. 500k avg cost to create a clan. This may seem like a lot, bit follow my trade advice and you'll have it in a few weeks, maybe less, it depends on you and your friends.

I don't want to sound entirely pessimistic for you however, this mod does have a lot to offer!

The ability to play this with your friends is priceless!

The mod is a wonderful concept, and has grown and changed a lot in the short time it has been here!

They are headed the right direction (mostly) and I have no intention of leaving!

My group consist of 5 players and we are nearly to our 500k goal for our own clan. We have decided to go ahead and try it, and do our best to avoid the warmongering.

We intend to do our best to become a PvE clan, as it will take months of grinding before we are going to be able to even think about pvp, which is currently badly broken and unbalanced (the only method of pvp on this mod involves nothing but Rambo tactics) and they need desperately to implement and enforce a no rambo rule (it worked great for the napoleonic servers i play on, and i think that if they actually enforce the rule, our gaming experience would be much more rewarding. Here's to hoping!

The seige update is coming! This is our personal hope that they are able to bring a semblance of balance to pvp (you can't Rambo a castle, i hope! lol) and that is where we have set our sights.

I did want to add that I mean no disrespect to the modders or the community, ultimately I do appreciate what we have here.

I am simply sharing the truths that I have learned so far, I hope it was helpful in some way!

My last post similar to this was deleted by the moderator, but I was a little more aggressive in my presentation in that post, so I can understand the censorship.

Good luck!

me too!!! i am actually enjoying the gamle with my two brothers, we manage to make a few thousands by training troops and going agains forest bandits and but i still think its pretty hard to make trading worth it at my level,

i feel like its more or less hit or miss with this thing, maybe you will sell all your loot and get profit that cover the license cost, maybe not and you will regret the cost that could have been used to grow more troops...

to me this is unnecessary, in most mmorpg the trading is way simpler, you put your items to sell at the price you want and when it go you profit. you already had to play and fight to loot the items you shouldnt have to pay to list them on sell, even more if it come with a limits like only 20 items capacity and time limit...it just make the feature seems broken (especially when you finally have some weapons to sell and the market decide to bug and not let you list them so you paid a license for nothing XD)

One other option you may want to consider is the trade missions from the trader. Don't buy more than one mule until u can unlock more by leveling, you will get a speed penalty otherwise!

With the market, I started as I suggested, and average about 15k to 60k a day. I do this while fighting sea raiders to level my imperial legions, which sell in the area of 4 to 5k ea.

It works! I've now upgraded to the full 40k license and am expecting even more profit as I go forward!
