    Can you check the games intallation folder? If there is a file named steam.target please delete it and validate the game files again.

    Try to delete the affected file from the AssetPackeges folder and do the verifying in steam again. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Sounds\PC -Delete all the .bank files in there.

    Someone else who had this problem fixed it by moving the game files to an SSD
