Oh that might be it, I did buy some mules beforehand. Didn't know at all that I was over a threshold. Thanks for the help!

Whenever my character boots up into the game, it seems I'm permanently stuck outside the castle gates of Zeonica. I can leave and enter the city just fine, but can't move on the campaign map. So my character just ends up staying at the gate unable to move anywhere.
