Possible to play using Nvidia Geforce Now?

Does anyone know a way to be able to download the launcher on a GFN virtual machine?
My PC runs Bannerlord fine but max 8fps when using the BO mod, so I thought i'd give trying to get it to work on GFN, to no avail.

It won't work. You can't install Software or other Stuff (This Mod) in an GFN session.

What I would instead recommend is reducing the "Frame Limiter" option under the video settings of Bannerlord. The recommended value is 60. This will have a major impact on performance of your PC. Perhaps that will be enough to allow yo to play BO on your PC.
