Me and my friend recently started playing bannerlord online together after we grinded the hell out of the normal game, however we tried doing the Clan Creation quest and we cant do it for the life of us.. we tried using all legionaries, all fians, a mix. Yet we cant do it. I know it sounds stupid but is there a way to do it?

There are a few different ways to do it, but it depends on what style you're most comfortable with.
Ambush Tactics
Fians excel here, for their great bow skill and plenty of arrows. They compared to single player, they got nerfed and no longer use a two handed weapon. the idea here is that you position them ahead of each fight and use a ranged weapon to lure enemies group by group from a distance. Lure them into range of your archers, but try to keep them on you as much as possible. Good athletics and light armor should help you outrun them. Up until the last groups, it's best to keep your troops outside of the fort.
Shield tactics
The alternative can be a bit more tricky but requires you to have a good shield wall, probably Sturgian for their big shield. But others should do. In this scenario you keep the enemy distracted on the shield wall while you mow them down with a strong weapon, likely a 2 handed.
Just keep in mind you can lure them one group at a time. If you fail a fight, take the time to watch the battle replay and scout around to see where they are located.
