crash when starting a fight

When I attack bandits or get attacked by them, I see the loading screen but after a few seconds, the game crashes. How can I fix it?

I have read if u go into your game files and delete the file in the error message and then do a steam file check it might fix the problemo.

Go into a city then exit to main menu and that should fix when you load back in
