Found a helmet with 18 armor in the Battania region and better shoes. The helmet cost 13000. One armor was minimally better than the Imperial in the starting area, was not worth buying.

That's a good question. I feel the same way, killing looters doesn't get you anything useful. If you search the cities in the starting region, you can find other armor for a lot of gold with a little luck. Weapons I have so far no really good selection, except the farmer tools found. I haven't...
