Unable to initialize Steam API problem?

Hello there, everytime I press play this message comes up "Unable to initialize Steam API" with a warning program.
is there anyone way to fix this? I have tried countless solutions but none of them have worked yet

Yeah I figured it out but now I've come acrossed another problem which crashed by game everytime I get to the character customization,
