Running launcher as admin, Steam is open and online. Getting "Unable to initialize Steam API" error

Just to be clear, steam is open and online, and I'm launching the BannerlordOnline launcher as admin.
I've also tried installing the launcher to Program Files (x86) to no avail.
I've also tried running bannerlord normally with the online mod enabled to no avail.
Bannerlord is not set to any betas in steam.
BannerlordOnline is manually allowed in windows firewall.
I've tried adding BannerlordOnline as a non steam game and launching it through steam, to no avail.


Any help would be appreciated, also if you're also getting this issue respond to this thread with what you've tried already. Thanks!

Try deleting steam.target in [bannerlord installation folder]\modules\native

Can you check the games intallation folder? If there is a file named steam.target please delete it and validate the game files again.

If you encounter this just reboot your steam/restart your pc that should work!

There's no steam.target in my bannerlord installation folder. Validating the files also didn't fix my issue.
