Im literally stuck at diathma surrounded by looters, impossible to get out, for some reason the devs thought is was a genius idea to make the player move at the speed of a slug, and then you buy a horse for 4K just to be as slow as you were on foot, seriously, why?

Train athletics and Riding.... You move like that in vanilla too, remember this isn't played at max speed.

Athletics and Riding are absurdly slow to train. You don't move like that in vanilla. You can easily reach 5-6 in the beginning whereas the mod caps it at 3.0 no matter what.
Why spread misinformation?

It's not about beliefs but hard evidence.
I've put 20 hours into the mod, mostly on one character. Endurance has been sitting on Level 5 since forever and both skills are around 5. I wasted those points as of now.
But be my guest and prove that I'm wrong. I have no problems with the game pace being slower. Wasting points without respeccing options is whack tho.

you'll need a lot more than 5 athletics to notice a difference.

Then try to be thorough when making claims. Everyone makes mistakes, but doubling down on it is just insulting and it get's people pissed. Just a tip.

glad you understand why i'm not going to respond after this one, Train your athletics higher than 5, don't expect to see a massive difference while your athletics is still super low...
I'm not making a Claim, it's literally how Bannerlord works.. If you refuse that, then it's not my problem.

You have some options.
Make money by farming crops. Most consistent way of income. Least amount of crashes.
Spam arena runs. More dicey income but you get combat practice. You won't level any skill tho.
Wait for larger player armies to escort you or drive the looters away. Everyone is thirsty for looters and a lot of people will help you out.
Log off and on after a while. Mob numbers are highly fluctuating.

I found arena to be really profitable (120 about every 30 seconds, AI is easy to beat) when there aren't other players since i suck at pvp and there's some lag which makes it worse, how does the levelling system work btw? i saw there was no perks in many categories like one handed or riding, can i still level up those? Also do you get better armor and weapons at the trader when you level up or what

Yo, just want to start off by apologising, I'm not an ignorant donkey anymore and I've learned a lot since I posted my previous things, Athletics and Riding will "NOT" have an affect on your map moving speed currently.. I think there was just a misunderstanding about what you were actually trying to say, totally my fault.

currently traders get Restocked by Leanbow, the event manager, usually before an upcoming event.

there are currently no perks except for trade, medicine and leadership for the moment.

you can still level up your skills.

Jeez you 2, henry and sancha, sound like bunch of fugii

Btw from what i've seen the only things that decide your movement speed is inventory weight (light load, heavy load, overload)
And party size |}-{| more = slower. (doesn't matter if units are on foot or horse)

I'm not so sure that athletics/riding have any impact on party movement on map.

I suppose you could test that by getting on and off your horse and checking if there is any party movement change, don't take my word for it.

Oh and, the same thing happend to me once when i was doing cargo runs on my first day or two.
Couldn't get out of a town, don't remember which one, for like 1 hour straight.

Then i managed to move close enough to some other town, and when i lost the battle i got teleported to that other town instead xD.
Then i moved on from there more easily.

I'd reccomend doing arena (or farming if you hate yourself) till you can afford a party of 10-15 units. Though that would require a bit of leadership, but it's not too hard to get.

Almost everything you can only level up in combat (non-arena, though this might change soon) by using that.
So you get athletics by fighting on foot ( doing dmg, might also have something to do with your movement speed bonus with attacks ), and weapon prof. when using those weapons.
Medicine is leveled up by you or your wounded units healing
Trading by trading
That's about it for now unless i missed something.

And even though for most of these there are no perks it's usefull to have them leveled.

Like for example even 40 athletics would make a big difference in battle if you're on foot etc.
