"Cannot Find Steam API"

I've run into an issue in trying to run the game. After opening the launcher and signing in, I get a popup saying "Unable to initialize Steam API." Image attached. How do I resolve this issue?

Launch application as admin in compatibility as problem solved.

Problem resolved a while back, meant to reply here. I simply have to open Steam prior to opening Bannerlord Online. Thanks folks, hope this thread helps someone else.

What does "prior" mean? I have my steam on but I still cant run the game after my first successful run & quit, restart the PC wont fix the problem since I try to run this mod multiple time day after days, with steam on
