About combat skills training

I found that I get same amount of archery experience when defeat 4 or 30 bandits in one battle，is that a bug？

you only get experience for the first few bandits, not all of them

Your weapon skill experience is bound to the ammount of hits you strike on enemies. That is the only thing that matters. If you don't use a weapon and hit enemies, you don't get any experience for that weapon. Same with riding, you only get experience for fighting on a horse. So you really have to use every single skill you want to raise. (Fighting on a horse gives you riding experience plus experience in the weapon you used for instance, so 2 skills benefit in that moment from the same action. Athletics goes up by fighting while running. And so on.
