I know for sure that the Op is correct. The loot count is definitely largely depended on the kills / dealt damage of the player and his troops. I tested this extensively with a friend.

I have the same issue, the game crashes on almost every action, sell/take profit, open marketplace, clicking "done" or "reset" in the markeplace screen. Crash on almost every button when pressing it. It wasn't like that 1-2 weeks ago, it just rarely happened. Now it happens all the time.
